The Offender Database reported that Sohail Ahmed, the Glasgow Rapist Sex Offender, was sentenced to imprisonment for abduction and sexual assault in Glasgow.
Prosecutors have commended officers for their resolve in rescuing a woman concealed within a property, who had been abducted and sexually assaulted by a man in Glasgow in August 2023.
Sohail Ahmed, aged 52, attended the High Court in Glasgow on Wednesday, 17 December 2025, for sentencing after being convicted following a trial on Monday, 3 March 2025.
He was subjected to a lifelong restriction order and is required to serve a minimum of nine years in prison.
Sohail Ahmed has been issued non-harassment orders concerning his victims and has been indefinitely registered as a sex offender.
