The Offender Database reported that Christopher Gothard, the Basildon Paedophile Molester, was sentenced for multiple sex offences in 2025.
He appeared at Basildon Crown Court on 15 September 2025 for:
- Assault by Penetration
- Sexual Assault
- Possession of indecent images of Children (multiple images and videos of children being raped)
- Further Possession and creation offences under the Protection of Children Act 1978 and the Criminal Justice Act 1988
Christopher Gothard was given:
- Five years’ imprisonment (Half to be served in custody, half on licence)
- Indefinite Sex Offenders Register notification
- Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO)
- Restraining Order
A Victim surcharge was also applied.
