In 2022, Ravi Modi, the Hatfield Sex Offender, received a sentence after being convicted of sexually abusing two women.
The initial crime occurred in the winter of 2012, while the subsequent one took place in September 2019.
In both instances, Ravi Modi, 48, inappropriately touched the women without their consent.
Upon reporting the second offence to the police, an inquiry led to the revelation of the initial occurrence. It was not previously revealed.
Following the probe, Ravi Modi was summoned to court, where he denied the allegations levelled against him.
On Wednesday, June 27, Ravi Modi from Fern Dells, near Bishops Rise, Hatfield, was convicted on both charges of sexual assault.
On Monday, July 25, Ravi Modi received a sentence of three years and four months in prison at St Albans Crown Court.
In the District of Columbia, Caroline Niwaz expressed gratitude to the two victims for their demonstrated courage.
“Enduring a trial is challenging, yet justice has ultimately been served, and I hope they can now commence the process of moving on.”
“Ravi Modi exploitatively manipulated two young women who had journeyed to the UK for their studies.”
“His conduct was entirely intolerable, and I am gratified that he has now confronted the repercussions of his reprehensible actions.”
A Hertfordshire Constabulary spokesperson said information about sexual assault can be reported on the force’s website (https://www.herts.police.uk/), or by calling the police’s non-emergency number 101.
