In 2022, Stewart Mee, the Harworth Paedophile, a sex offender who sent obscene images to a schoolboy, was incarcerated.

On July 4, 2020, 55-year-old Stewart Mee utilised a social media account to establish communication with the boy.

Notwithstanding his awareness of the boy’s actual age, he persisted in making sexually explicit propositions.

Nottinghamshire Police were informed of the texts in November of that year and apprehended Stewart Mee on suspicion of multiple offences.

A forensic analysis of his phone and laptop uncovered several hundred additional photographs of child sexual exploitation.

Certain photographs were classified as category A, representing the most egregious violations against children.

During his interrogation with specialised police, Stewart Mee, residing on Festival Avenue in Harworth, acknowledged sending the messages but asserted uncertainty regarding the boy’s age.

Stewart Mee then entered a guilty plea for enticing a child under the age of 13 to participate in sexual behaviour, participating in sexual communication with a minor, and three counts of producing indecent photos of a child.

Stewart Mee also acknowledged possessing an illicit image of a minor and possessing severe pornography.

On Tuesday, he was sentenced to two years and 10 months in prison at Nottingham Crown Court.

Stewart Mee was also placed on the sex offenders’ register and subjected to a sexual harm reduction order that will severely limit his activity upon release.

Sergeant John Whitworth of Nottinghamshire Police stated, “Stewart Mee attempted to exploit a susceptible child for his own sexual gratification and has justly been incarcerated.”
