In 2022, A 25-year-old man, Andrew Stephen Pallot, a Jersey Paedophile, was incarcerated for downloading and disseminating thousands of obscene photographs and videos of children as young as six months.

Andrew Stephen Pallot was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment yesterday and registered on the Sex Offenders Register for a minimum of seven years, after pleading guilty to three counts of producing indecent photos and one count of distributing indecent images.

Andrew Stephen Pallot was discovered to have downloaded 1,330 images and 1,194 movies of minors, and to have disseminated 1,006 pictures and videos between April and November of the previous year.

Among the content on Andrew Stephen Pallot’s phone, 223 photos and 553 videos were classified as category A, considered the most severe.

Crown Advocate Lauren Hallam, representing the prosecution, informed the Superior Number of the Royal Court, which adjudicates Jersey’s most severe cases, that Andrew Stephen Pallot was apprehended on 29 November 2021 following intelligence received by the States police regarding an internet user who had uploaded one category A and three category B indecent images online.

Subsequent to his apprehension, several gadgets were confiscated. Evidence from a mobile phone indicated that the content was predominantly accessed and disseminated via the Telegram chat application.

Andrew Stephen Pallot was interrogated and promptly confessed, asserting that the ‘voice in his head’ had instructed him to act.
