In 2024, Robert MacLennan, the Romford Paedophile, was imprisoned for sexually molesting a lady throughout her childhood almost four decades ago.
In March 2021, she disclosed that she had been raped and sexually assaulted by an older man at a primary school in Islington during the mid-1980s.
The abuse persisted for approximately two years and was perpetrated by an individual known as Robert MacLennan.
He served as the school’s groundskeeper during the period of the abuse and resided on the premises.
Authorities initiated an inquiry, resulting in Robert MacLennan’s arrest in April 2021. He confessed to sexually abusing the victim; nevertheless, he refuted the allegation of rape.
Detectives endeavour to construct a case against him by discovering other witnesses and collecting their testimonies.
The evidence was presented to the Crown Prosecution Service in May 2022, resulting in further charges for multiple offences.
Robert MacLennan was tried at Snaresbrook Crown Court and convicted on 28 September 2023.
On Wednesday, 24 January 2024, Robert MacLennan received a sentence of 15 years’ imprisonment from the same court.
