Back in 2022, Michelle Winter, the Transgender Godmanchester Rapist, characterised by a tendency towards violence, who identifies as a woman but has not undergone any surgical procedures, was sentenced to 15 years in prison, to be served in a women’s facility.

During a trial in Cambridge Crown Court, Michelle Winter was consistently referred to using female pronouns, although possessing the whole anatomy of a man.

Michelle Winter, 49, of Buttermel Close, Godmanchester, a transgender woman who has not undergone surgery, raped a woman at the same location on May 16 of the previous year.

The same day, the woman communicated with officers, who observed her extensive bruising and documented the assault.

Authorities report that they collaborated extensively with personnel at The Elms Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) to assist the victim and construct a case against Michelle Winter.

The victim told police she still had nightmares about the incident and had since woken up screaming, “Get off me”.

At Cambridge Crown Court on Friday, Michelle Winter was jailed for 15 years for charges of rape and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

In sentencing, Judge David Farrell described Michelle Winter as a dangerous individual, with a “clear propensity to violence”.

“I know this is four more difficult days for you, but I hope you understand why I’m doing this.”
