Henry Carson, the Keighley Paedophile, from Huddersfield, has been praised for her bravery after assisting in the incarceration of the man who severely sexually assaulted her during her childhood.

Henry Carson, 75, of Clayton Rise, Keighley, was sentenced to five years in prison at Leeds Crown Court today, September 30, after being convicted of two grave sexual offences committed in the 1980s.

Detectives from the Kirklees Child Safeguarding Unit stated that the woman’s courage in coming forward and aiding an extensive investigation was essential in bringing Henry Carson to trial.

A jury convicted the 75-year-old, Henry Carson, of committing acts of gross indecency and indecent assault against a minor under the age of 14.

His offences occurred in Kirklees in the early 1980s and were disclosed by the victim as an adult in 2022.
