A Birmingham Paedophile Pilot, Tevin McLeod, apprehended following the arrival of a flight at Manchester Airport, has been sentenced to imprisonment for the rape of a minor.

Tevin McLeod was apprehended by law enforcement upon his arrival in Manchester on Saturday, September 7.

The subsequent day, the 28-year-old was indicted for the rape and sexual abuse of a minor under the age of 13.

A mugshot released by West Midlands Police seemingly depicts him in his pilot’s gear.

Authorities add that Tevin McLeod first refuted the allegations; however, Birmingham Crown Court revealed that he had dispatched several texts to the victim, conceding to the abuse in a frantic attempt to prevent her from reporting the heinous acts.

In the correspondence, Tevin McLeod expressed concern that his reputation would be compromised if the attacks, which occurred between 2015 and 2016, were disclosed.

He informed the girl that he would forfeit his career as a pilot and face incarceration due to her being underage.

Tevin McLeod, who has no permanent residence, subsequently confessed to the rape and sexual assault and was incarcerated on Friday, November 8.

Tevin McLeod received a sentence of seven and a half years in prison and will be subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order upon his release.

Detective Constable Stewart Garratt, from the Birmingham Child Abuse Public Protection Team of West Midlands Police, commended the victim’s courage in reporting the incident.

He stated: “It is a significant undertaking for a child to disclose and report sexual abuse, and I commend the courage of this young girl for confiding in someone.”

“For crimes involving children, we have a specialised department with officers specifically trained to assist young individuals throughout the judicial process.”

“I am confident that this child’s voice has prevented other children from being targeted.”
