Matthew Webb has been indefinitely registered as a sex offender.

On Sunday, 28 July 2024, the offences were revealed when the courageous victim reported being raped by an adult male to the authorities, with assistance from a family member.

An inquiry was promptly initiated, and the girl consented to an interview during which, with the cooperation of investigators, she courageously revealed additional abuse perpetrated by Matthew Webb from ages 11 to 15.

On multiple instances, Matthew Webb perpetrated vaginal rape and sexual assault against her.

On 28 July 2024, Matthew Webb was apprehended on allegations of raping a female under the age of 16. On 4 August 2024, he was re-arrested on suspicion of the same offence due to newly acquired evidence.
