A Hereford paedophile, Scott Chapman, who assaulted an adolescent girl he had befriended on social media, has been jailed for four years and three months today (Thursday, 18 September).

Scott Chapman, 24, of Barklie Mead, Hereford, was found guilty at Worcester Crown Court of one count of raping a girl aged 13 to 15, four counts of sexual assault by penetration of a female aged 13 to 15, engaging in sexual communication with a child, and producing an indecent photograph or pseudo-photograph of a child.

Scott Chapman was additionally issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for a duration of ten years, prohibiting him from unsupervised contact with females under the age of 16, barring him from engaging in paid or voluntary work involving contact with females below that age, and requiring him to notify the police of his address and personal details.
