A 45-year-old Ayrshire Rapist, William Byrne, has been found guilty of grave sexual and physical crimes against women.
William Byrne, 45, entered a guilty plea to charges including rape, assault causing damage, and permanent disfigurement at the High Court in Glasgow on Thursday, 11 September 2025.
The offences occurred from April 2018 to April 2024 in Ayrshire.
Detectives initiated an investigation into William Byrne in April 2024, culminating in his arrest in July 2024.
He is scheduled for sentencing in the High Court in Glasgow on Thursday, 9 October 2025.
