Stephen McPhee, the Crewe Paedophile, was sentenced today at Chester Crown Court to seven years in prison for the attempted rape and sexual abuse of a primary school-aged girl.

He was additionally registered on the Sex Offenders Register for life and imposed with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

The 34-year-old resident, Stephen McPhee, of Rigby Avenue, Crewe, was convicted of one count of attempted rape of a girl under 13 after a six-day trial, which also resulted in a not guilty verdict for two charges of rape.

The jury was informed that Stephen McPhee had attempted to sexually assault the victim multiple times when she was aged 9 to 11 years.

In 2021, Cheshire Police initiated an investigation into the abuse, subsequent to a statement by the victim.
