An Eaglescliffe Rapist gardener, Daniel Wyatt, convicted of raping and sexually assaulting a lady, has been incarcerated.
Daniel Wyatt inflicted a traumatic experience on his victim, who constantly implored him to cease during intercourse, a request he disregarded.
Upon finally ceasing, he informed his victim that she was “boring,” as stated in Teesside Crown Court. Subsequent to the sexual assaults, the 28-year-old remarked to the woman, “I apologise, that is not my character.”
Daniel Wyatt, from Eaglescliffe, refuted the charges but was found guilty of rape and two counts of sexual assault by a jury on Tuesday following a trial.
Daniel Wyatt possesses prior convictions for battery and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, as well as robbery; nevertheless, he has never been incarcerated.
Daniel Wyatt perpetrated the prior charges while he was under 18 and received youth rehabilitation orders.
On Friday, he participated in court via video link from Holme House Prison, where he has been detained on remand.
Judge Tom Mitchell informed Daniel Wyatt: “When she instructed you to cease, you did not comply.” Your failure to cease constitutes an act of rape. You committed sexual assault against her on two occasions. It was a cruel action. An egregious action. You recognised it immediately, as you expressed remorse for it.
Daniel Wyatt was incarcerated for six and a half years. He will be released upon completing two-thirds of his sentence.
He will be obligated to comply with sex offender notification rules, necessitating that he inform the police of any absences from his residence or travel plans for the duration of his life.
A restraining order was established to prevent Daniel Wyatt from contacting his victim again.
