The Salisbury Paedophile, Craig Arrowsmith, 48, of Hoadley Green, appeared at Salisbury Crown Court on September 1 after pleading guilty to sexual communication with a child, the creation of indecent photographs of children, and four charges of possession of severe pornography, specifically bestiality.

He received a 12-month sentence, suspended for 18 months.

Craig Arrowsmith is required to fulfil 200 hours of community service, remit £500 in compensation, and undertake up to 35 days of rehabilitative activities. He will also be mandated to register as a sex offender for a duration of 10 years.

On January 30, 2024, law enforcement received a Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) referral from the victim’s educational institution, expressing concerns regarding inappropriate communications from Arrowsmith.

Craig Arrowsmith was apprehended and subsequently released on bail. An analysis of his phone disclosed that from March 2023 to January 2024, Craig Arrowsmith persistently spoke with the victim, a 15-year-old girl, via a social media site, with numerous messages of a sexual nature.

Four films depicting bestiality and a total of 245 category C indecent images, all pertaining to superimposed photographs of the victim, were discovered on his phone.

Craig Arrowsmith confessed to the offences and received sentencing yesterday.
