Karen Matthews, the British Child Abuser Kidnapper Paedophile Lover, was observed embarking on a shopping excursion with her paedophile lover, following the release of a scathing documentary outlining her reprehensible history.
The 48-year-old, who orchestrated the abduction of her nine-year-old daughter to obtain a £50,000 reward, currently resides in southern England with her lover, Paul Saunders, a convicted sex offender against children.
A new series on Amazon Prime revisits the 2008 search for Shannon, which constituted West Yorkshire Police’s most bizarre and extensive missing persons investigation to date.
While manoeuvring a shopping trolley during errands near her residence with Saunders, who was incarcerated in 2010 for engaging in sexual activities with a minor, Karen Matthews declined to provide commentary on the documentary.
In it, her former associate Petra Jamieson recounted how Karen Matthews ruthlessly misled friends and neighbours in Dewsbury Moor, West Yorkshire, during the search for Shannon.
During the hunt, she reminisced about a visit to a local takeaway with Karen Matthews, stating in The Hunt for Shannon Matthews: “She purchased fish and chips for the family.”

Numerous apprehensive neighbours participated in the 24-day search for Shannon before she was discovered restrained and sedated at the base of a double bed in Michael Donovan’s flat.

Shannon, currently 27 years old, was one of seven offspring Karen had with five different husbands. She was assigned to emergency social services and subsequently provided with a new identity.
Analysis of her hair strands indicated that she may have been administered sedatives for as long as 20 months prior to her abduction.
An elastic band with a noose at one end was discovered in the apartment, believed to have been employed as a grotesque form of control for Shannon.
