An online Nottingham Paedophile sex offender, Giampiero Franchi, apprehended while attempting to groom an individual he thought was a 13-year-old girl, has been incarcerated.
On 9 July 2024, Giampiero Franchi was conversing with an undercover police officer in a chat room when he initiated sexual conversations.
Upon the incident’s referral to Nottinghamshire Police, they apprehended the 70-year-old and confiscated his mobile phone and further devices.
