Barry Williams, 60, the Ferryhill Paedophile Child Molester, is currently incarcerated following inappropriate interactions with an individual he believed to be a 14-year-old girl.

In February 2024, Barry Williams communicated with the ‘kid’ online and continued to transmit obscene messages and solicit indecent photographs and videos.
However, Barry Williams was conversing with a police investigator who was rapidly advancing in their inquiry.
Officers observed Barry Williams attempting to elude capture by switching platforms and generating new identities to conceal his true identity.
Authorities confiscated and examined Barry Williams’ electronic devices, uncovering appalling Category A, B, and C indecent photographs and videos, which included hundreds of child victims.
In a final attempt to mitigate the forthcoming consequences, Williams legally sought to alter his name to Colin Brown prior to the filing of charges; however, law enforcement acted swiftly, resulting in his subsequent charges of Attempt to Engage in Sexual Communication with a Child, Attempt to Cause/Incite a Child to Engage in Sexual Activity, three counts of Possession of Indecent Images of Children, Possession of Prohibited Images of a Child, and Possession of Extreme Pornographic Images.
Barry Williams, residing at Croft Gardens, Ferryhill, appeared at Durham Crown Court on July 7, where he admitted guilt to all charges.
Today he went before the same court and received an 18-month prison term along with a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
