For sexually assaulting two children, Alan Drew Old Colwyn Paedophile has been imprisoned for six years. Following a jury conviction of 11 offences, Alan Drew, of Cwrt Sefton, Old Colwyn, appeared before Caernarfon Crown Court for punishment yesterday (Thursday, July 25).
They covered sexual action with a kid, sexual communication with a child, encouraging a child to participate in sexual activity, voyeurism and producing offensive photos of a minor.
Over sometime between January 2019 and June 2021, the 50-year-old committed the offences against two young females.
Following one of the victims telling a friend she had been sexually attacked by Alan Drew , which was reported to the police, an inquiry was started in June 2021.
Alan Drew had apologised for what had transpired in a Snapchat message to the victim, stating that it would only happen again if she wanted.
Later, he was arrested but released under investigation; he was finally charged in June 2023.
Additionally, I was awarded a sexual harm prevention order and a restraining order covering the victims.
He must register as a lifetime sex offender with the police as well.
Detective Constable Delyth Jones, the investigating officer, said: “I want to commend both victims for their bravery over this inquiry.
Drawing on his denial of his sins, Drew has shown no respect for any of them. Instead, he made them repeat their events in court, which proved somewhat challenging for both.
“The jurors were able to see through Alan Drew ‘s lies thanks in significant part to their bravery and the evidence collected, particularly the committed work of the assigned digital forensic officer who examined his devices.
Knowing Alan Drew will not be able to endanger any other children; this punishment should enable the girls to get on with their lives.
