Russell Le Beau Eastbourne Child Killer

The Offender Database reported that Russell Le Beau, an Eastbourne van driver, has been sentenced to four years in prison for failing to secure a scaffolding board, which struck a car’s windscreen and killed an 11-year-old boy.

Child killer, Russell Le Beau, 34, of Eastbourne, was driving his vehicle on Top Road in Hooe, East Sussex, when a collision occurred around 3 p.m. on December 15, 2022.

He had not properly secured the scaffolding boards on the van, resulting in one of them hanging in mid-air at an angle over the carriageway in the other direction.

Scaffolding boards are used to create a platform for construction workers.

The protruding board would have been visible in Russell Le Beau’s wing mirror while driving, Lewes Crown Court heard.

Lee Dennis was driving his car in the opposite direction, with his 11-year-old son, Harry, in the passenger seat and his 13-year-old daughter in the back.

Russell Le Beau was arrested and accused of causing death by unsafe driving.
