The 16-year-old was arrested by ACT Policing at his home shortly after midnight on Sunday, 2 August 2026, following reports of domestic abuse. Police allege that the teenager strangled his 15-year-old girlfriend on four separate occasions between June and July 2026.
He was remanded to appear before the ACT Children’s Court on Monday, 3 August 2026, where he faces four counts of choking, suffocating, or strangling another person, alongside four counts of aggravated common assault.
Following his arrest and formal charges, the boy remains subject to youth justice procedures and court-mandated conditions.
