Robert Squires, the Bosinney Paedophile, from North Cornwall, has been sentenced to 18 years in prison, with an additional year on extended licence, for the sexual abuse of six minor victims over a span of four decades.

Robert Squires, 80, from Bosinney near Tintagel, was sentenced at Truro Crown Court on Tuesday, 28 October, after pleading guilty to 23 child sexual offences, both current and historical, including two counts of child rape, attempted rape, and many indecent assaults.

He must complete two-thirds of the sentence before becoming eligible for release.

During the hearing, the court was informed that Robert Squires selected his victims from a young age and perpetrated the abuse in various locations both within and beyond Cornwall.

Robert Squires voluntarily attended Bodmin Police Station and confessed to much of the abuse, stating that he derived sexual gratification from the offences.
