In 2026, the Offender Register confirmed that at Worcester Crown Court, a juvenile rapist from Worcester was sentenced to a total of 22 years and three months in prison.

Philip Lakey, 63, of Ombersley Road, Worcester, entered a not guilty plea at his initial hearing. However, he was convicted of multiple sexual offences against a single victim by a jury at the same court on Wednesday, April 15.

Additionally, he was compelled to sign the sex offenders register for the duration of his life, and he will be subject to a 25-year sexual harm prevention order. Additionally, he was granted a restraining order to safeguard the victim.

He was sentenced for the following offences, which occurred between 2019 and 2022, yesterday (Fri 17 Jul):

  • Four counts of rape of a child under 13 years
  • Two counts of assault on a child under 13 by touching
  • Four counts of penetrative sexual activity with a child
  • Two counts of non-penetrative sexual activity with a child
