Pedro Evangelou, who was convicted and sentenced in 2017 for the violent rape and sexual assault of a teenage girl, has been sighted in Islington, North London, following his release from prison custody.
The case originated from a prolonged attack inside Evangelou’s flat in Islington.
The court heard that Evangelou, who openly identified as a Luciferian and devil worshipper, had maintained an entire room inside the premises specifically dedicated to Satanic rituals.
During the incident, Evangelou lured a teenage girl to the property before preventing her from leaving by securing a heavy wooden plank across the doorway to barricade the exit.
With the victim trapped and unable to escape, Evangelou subjected her to an escalating physical and sexual attack before carrying out a brutal rape.
The matter proceeded to a full trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court, where a jury dismissed his claims and found him guilty of rape and sexual assault.
In 2017, the presiding judge sentenced Evangelou to nine years’ imprisonment for the rape, ordering an additional one-year custodial term to run consecutively for the sexual assault, resulting in a total sentence of 10 years.
Having completed the custodial period of his determinate sentence, Evangelou was released from prison and is now understood to be residing in and around the Islington area.
His re-emergence in the neighbourhood has generated heightened anxiety and public safety concerns among local families and residents across the North London community.
