A convicted paedophile from Peterborough, Muhammed Idrees, concealed ten phones within his mattress. Muhammed Idrees, 53, was under community supervision following a conviction when specialised officers conducted a search of his residence earlier this year.

Muhammed Idrees was prohibited from utilising or possessing any device capable of internet connection or digital image storage as stipulated by a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

Upon the cops’ arrival at his residence in April to apprehend him for an unrelated issue, Muhammed Idrees presented two basic mobile phones, devoid of internet and camera capabilities, as allowed under his stipulations.

A subsequent investigation of his residence uncovered ten phones concealed within his mattress, three of which possessed internet functionality, and seven equipped with integrated cameras.

Muhammed Idrees, residing on Cobden Street in Peterborough, subsequently admitted guilt to three charges of violating a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO). He received a sentence of two years and nine months in jail at Huntingdon Law Courts on Monday, August 11.
