Lancashire Police have launched an urgent public appeal for sightings and information to trace a 46-year-old convicted sex offender who is wanted on emergency recall to prison and for failing to attend court.
Marcus Pratt, of Blackpool, is actively sought by officers from the force’s Management of Sexual Offenders and Violent Offenders (MOSOVO) unit after failing to adhere to mandatory monitoring protocols.
Pratt is wanted for:
Failing to comply with statutory sex offender notification requirements
Emergency recall to prison
Failing to attend court
Police believe that Pratt is currently residing or staying within the Blackpool area. Inquiries also indicate that he maintains established connections across Lancashire and Greater Manchester, specifically within Burnley, Colne, and the Harpurhey district of Manchester.
Pratt is described as white, approximately 6ft 1in tall, with a long beard, and is notably missing his upper front teeth.
Investigating officers are asking members of the public to remain vigilant and report any information that could assist in locating him. Anyone who has seen Pratt, knows where he is staying, or has relevant information is asked to contact Lancashire Police via 101, quoting log reference number 1025 of 14 October, or email the dedicated public protection team directly at MOSOVOEast@lancashire.police.uk.
