In 2026, the #OffenderRegister reported that Kenneth Goodman, a 76-year-old paedophile, had been sentenced as a result of an investigation into several sexual abuse reports against two victims that occurred over 40 years ago.
After two courageous women disclosed to the police the abuse they suffered at the hands of Kenneth Goodman (18/11/1949) of Greendale Drive, #Radcliffe, he was found guilty of four counts of indecent assault on a girl under 14 years and three counts of gross indecency with a girl under the age of 14.
The #SexOffender will serve a six-year prison sentence and be inducted into the sex offender register for the duration of his life.
At the time of the assault, both victims were in their early teenage years and were acquainted with Goodman in a professional capacity.
In 2018, Woman A, the initial survivor, approached our officers to report the abuse she had endured at the hands of Goodman.
This investigation subsequently resulted in the identification of a second survivor, Woman B, who verified that she had been in a sexual relationship with Goodman as an adolescent.
When they were alone, Goodman made inappropriate remarks to Woman A and coerced her into sexual activity. She was subjected to abuse on numerous occasions.
Goodman, who manipulated Woman B into engaging in sexual activity and entering into a relationship with him at the age of 12, groomed her over a period of approximately three years.
Goodman informed the victim that they could “expand their intimacy” as she had reached the age of 13. This abuse persisted until approximately the victim’s fifteenth birthday.
Goodman denied the offences after his arrest in 2019, but a jury found him guilty at a trial in March of this year.
