Joshua Risdale, the Holbeach Paedophile, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for recording himself engaging in sexual acts with a 13-year-old girl.
Joshua Risdale, 33, sexually assaulted the girl from 2023 to 2024, fully aware of her age.
In 2023, he initiated communication with her over Facebook Messenger, leading to the development of a sexual connection.
The incident concluded when Joshua Risdale provided the victim with drugs and drink at a party, then leading her to a bedroom where he recorded himself engaging in sexual intercourse with her.
He subsequently transmitted the footage to the victim, who had no recollection of the evening owing to alcohol.
Joshua Risdale went on to threaten to “leak” the video if the victim did not comply with his demands to date and eventually marry him.
Joshua Risdale, of Washway Road in Holbeach, Spalding, pleaded guilty to engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15, taking an indecent photograph of a child and distributing an indecent photograph of a child.
At Peterborough Crown Court on Friday (29 November), Joshua Risdale was jailed and handed an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
DC Annie Fenton, who investigated, said: “Joshua Risdale’s predatory behaviour towards the victim, despite knowing her age, was despicable and I am pleased his sentence reflects the seriousness of his actions.
“I hope he uses his time in prison to reflect on his actions, which will no doubt have a lasting psychological impact on his victim.”
