In December 2021, Joshua Carter, a 29-year-old Paedophile from North Hull, was sentenced to 22 years in prison after a jury convicted him of 15 offences on Friday, December 10, 2021.
This encompassed nine charges, for Joshua Carter, of raping a nine-year-old girl, four charges of assaulting a nine-year-old girl, and two charges of forcing or persuading a child to participate in sexual activity.
Detective Sergeant Justin Marrow stated, “This is a deplorable case in which a young child has fallen victim to heinous crimes.”
“Although we are gratified that Joshua Carter is now incarcerated, the sentencing does not mitigate the atrocious events that occurred or the repercussions endured by the victim.
The victim and their family have demonstrated remarkable courage and resilience throughout the proceedings, and I extend my gratitude for their unwavering support.
