In 2022, John Royley, a Leicester Paedophile Teacher and private tutor, who confessed to many child sex offences, was sentenced to five years in prison.
John Royley, 46, of Salcombe Drive, Leicester, participated in sexual correspondence with an 11-year-old girl and possessed over 1,200 indecent photos of minors.
According to authorities, 330 photographs were discovered to have been disseminated and subsequently deleted, including those of the most extreme nature.
None of the inappropriate photographs pertained to the children whom John Royley had instructed.
Royley, who operated in Leicestershire and other regions, was subjected to examination in 2020 following an allegation concerning a male involved in sexual communication with an 11-year-old girl over social media.
Leicestershire Police reported that the investigation directed police to John Royley, who used a pseudonym on the platform.
The force asserted that the girl was not a pupil John Royley had instructed.
John Royley was apprehended, and several devices were confiscated, including a tablet, a laptop, and mobile phones, on which officers discovered hundreds of stored indecent photographs.
The police stated that a young woman subsequently revealed that John Royley had instructed her during her youth and had engaged in “inappropriate behaviour,” which included soliciting her to “kiss and cuddle him.”
John Royley admitted guilt to six charges of producing indecent photos of a child and three charges of distributing such images at Leicester Crown Court during a prior hearing.
He also confessed to participating in sexual communication with a minor and two charges of inducing a girl under the age of 13 to participate in sexual behaviour.
During sentencing at the same court on Monday, John Royley was placed on the sex offenders’ register and issued a lifelong sexual harm prevention order.
