Glen Stone, aged 37, of no fixed address, has been sentenced to nine years’ imprisonment at Oxford Crown Court after being convicted of dragging a 16-year-old child into an upstairs room and subjecting her to rape and sexual assault.
The attack took place at a property in South Oxfordshire on 13 December 2025. The court heard that Stone deliberately targeted the victim, forcibly dragging her into an isolated upstairs room away from others before carrying out the assaults.
Under UK legislation, all victims of sexual offences are protected by lifelong statutory anonymity.
Stone entered not guilty pleas to the allegations, forcing the matter to a full Crown Court trial lasting five days. Following the presentation of evidence by the prosecution, the jury rejected Stone’s account and returned unanimous guilty verdicts across three counts: rape, sexual assault by penetration, and sexual assault by touching.
During the sentencing proceedings, Stone remained seated in the dock with his head lowered and repeatedly rubbed his eyes as the details of the offences were outlined to the court.
The judge handed Stone a nine-year prison sentence for the rape count, a concurrent nine-year term for sexual assault by penetration, and a concurrent six-month term for sexual assault by touching, creating an overall determinate sentence of nine years’ custody. Under statutory sentencing rules governing determinate sentences of seven years or more for serious sexual offences, Stone will be required to serve two-thirds of his nine-year term in prison custody before becoming eligible to be considered for release on licence.
In addition to the immediate custodial sentence, the court imposed an indefinite restraining order prohibiting Stone from making any contact with the victim, a 15-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), and an indefinite requirement to register under the notification conditions of the Sex Offenders Register.
