Elliot Tasker, aged 20, of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, has been sentenced to two years’ imprisonment at Leeds Crown Court after being caught with thousands of indecent images and discussing the sexual abuse of infants online.
The investigation began after the National Crime Agency (NCA) identified an Instagram account linked to Tasker’s email address and forwarded intelligence to West Yorkshire Police.
Officers executed an arrest warrant at Tasker’s home on 12 March 2026.
Upon being detained by police, Tasker stated: “I’m f***** aren’t I?”
Prosecuting barrister Jordan Millican informed the court that officers seized three mobile phones and a laptop from the premises.
A digital forensic analysis of the hardware uncovered:
- 51 Category A indecent images of children
- 48 Category B indecent images of children
- 46 Category C indecent images of children
- 1,773 prohibited images of children
- 33 extreme pornographic images depicting bestiality
The court heard evidence that Tasker actively engaged on multiple messaging and social media platforms, including Discord, Zangi, and Instagram, to converse with other offenders and solicit child abuse media.
Investigators confirmed Tasker specifically requested material involving babies and younger children, accessing a folder containing illicit material 41 times in a single 24-hour period.
In one disturbing chat presented to the court, Tasker outlined plans regarding the abuse of children: “For real, if it was a baby they won’t remember anything you do to them and young kids can perhaps be put to sleep with sleeping meds…Take good care and make sure there are no cameras about then boom baby sex.”
He continued: “If all goes well, you get paid for having sex with her kids.”
In another documented exchange, Tasker directed sexually explicit messages towards an online user who identified themselves as a young girl, responding: “It doesn’t matter if you’re a child.”
Tasker appeared for the sentencing hearing via video link from HMP Doncaster.
As the details of his communications were read aloud to the courtroom, Tasker held his head in his hands, rocked back and forth, and struck himself.
Judge Batiste concluded that an immediate custodial term was necessary, sentencing Tasker to two years’ imprisonment (24 months).
The court also made him subject to a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and sex offender registration requirements.
Release Calculation: Under UK sentencing legislation governing standard determinate custodial sentences of less than seven years, early release provisions apply at the halfway mark. Tasker is required to serve 12 months in prison custody before becoming eligible for automatic statutory release on licence to serve the remaining 12 months under the supervision of the Probation Service.
