In 2026, the Offender Register reported that Damien Jones, a child rapist, was sentenced to 22 years in prison for a series of offences, including rape, sexual touching, and inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity.
On Wednesday, May 6, 2018, a jury found Damien Jones, a 40-year-old resident of Llanelli, guilty of the following counts: He was incarcerated on Monday, June 7th.
- Four counts of rape of a girl under 13.
- Two counts of sexual touching of a girl under 13.
- Three counts of sexual assault with penetration of girl under 13.
- Four counts of inciting a girl under 13 into sexual activity without penetration.
- Three counts of inciting a girl aged 13 to 15 into sexual activity with penetration.
- The offences took place between 2013 and 2021 and relate to one victim, a girl aged under 15 at the time.
Jones was also subjected to an indefinite restraining order against the victim and an indefinite sexual harm prevention order, in addition to the jail sentence.
