Braham Aissaoui, aged 52, of Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire, was sentenced to three years and nine months’ imprisonment at Swindon Crown Court on Monday, 3 August 2026, after pleading guilty to violent and sexual offences against a woman.

The court heard that the offences took place between 26 and 30 March 2026 inside the victim’s home. Aissaoui assaulted the woman by beating her, subjected her to intentional strangulation, and carried out a sexual assault.

Following his arrest by Wiltshire Police, Aissaoui was remanded in custody due to the severity of the offences and the danger he posed to the victim.

Appearing before Swindon Crown Court, Aissaoui pleaded guilty to:

  • One count of intentional strangulation
  • One count of sexual assault
  • One count of assault by beating

The presiding judge handed Aissaoui a total custodial sentence of three years and nine months, and imposed a seven-year Restraining Order preventing him from having any contact with the victim.
