Asa Stephen White, a former resident of Yeovil, was given a suspended sentence in November 2025 for engaging in sexual correspondence with a minor and encouraging sexual action with a girl between the ages of 13 and 15.
The court was informed that White had sent sexually explicit texts to the 14-year-old girl, whom he knew, with the intention of engaging the kid in sexual conduct.

White entered a guilty plea to:

White has an active Sexual Harm Prevention Order and was obliged to sign the sex offenders register.
Additionally, an indefinite restraining order was put in place. He needs to participate in an alcohol treatment program and wear a transdermal alcohol monitoring device.
