In 2021, the Offender Database reported that Anthony Calway, the Hailsham Paedophile Child Molester, was convicted and commenced a jail sentence for sexually assaulting three girls in Brighton, after an investigation by safeguarding detectives.
Anthony Calway, then 49 and jobless, residing on Bayham Road, Hailsham, East Sussex, received a sentence of three years and ten months at Lewes Crown Court on 26 March, following his conviction for the sexual assault of three girls, as reported by the police.
He will be a lifelong registered sex offender and has been issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, effective until further court directive, which significantly limits his access to youngsters, as stated by the police.
Detective Constable Elaine Welsh of the Brighton Safeguarding Investigations Unit stated that Anthony Calway resided in Brighton when the offences occurred.
She commended the victims for their courage in coming forward.
“They courageously assisted our inquiry and provided testimony against Anthony Calway in court, which facilitated his prosecution,” she stated.
