A 28-year-old man, Aiden Freeman, was sentenced to seven years and six months in prison for several child sex crimes in West Sussex.
White Star Close, Godalming, Surrey resident Aiden Freeman entered a not guilty plea to five charges of sexual crimes against a girl under the age of thirteen that took place between October 2012 and February 2016.
During the interview, he asserted that the victim, who is currently a woman in her 20s, was fabricating her allegations to gain publicity.
When the crime began, the victim, who was assisted by officers with specialised training, was just nine years old.
Freeman was found guilty on two counts of assault of a girl under 13 by penetration and three counts of rape of a girl under 13 at Lewes Crown Court on Monday, March 30.
On Thursday, June 4, he received a sentence of seven years and six months in prison from the same court.
