A 22-year-old man previously of Rushden has been sentenced to 12 months’ imprisonment at Northampton Magistrates’ Court after being convicted of breaching his Sexual Risk Order for the third time.
Conor McIntyre appeared for sentence on 9 October 2026 following an investigation conducted by Northamptonshire Police into persistent non-compliance with court-ordered public protection measures.
The court heard that McIntyre was initially made subject to a Sexual Risk Order (SRO) in November 2024. The civil preventive order was granted by the courts to mitigate risk and impose strict prohibitions on his internet and mobile device usage, specifically barring him from clearing internet browsing histories and deleting communications from digital platforms.
Despite the prohibitions, McIntyre repeatedly demonstrated a refusal to adhere to the terms of the order. He accumulated two previous convictions for breaching his SRO within twelve months of its imposition, with the first conviction recorded in June 2025 and the second following in November 2025.
In September 2026, public protection officers identified that McIntyre had once again flouted his restrictions. Enquiries revealed that he had intentionally deleted TikTok direct messages exchanged between himself and two females, an action strictly forbidden under the conditions of his SRO.
Northamptonshire Police arrested McIntyre and charged him with two counts of failing without reasonable excuse to comply with a Sexual Risk Order.
Appearing at Northampton Magistrates’ Court, McIntyre entered guilty pleas to both counts on the charge sheet.
Passing sentence on 9 October 2026, the magistrates highlighted McIntyre’s blatant and serial disregard for judicial orders designed to manage risk in the community, noting that a custodial sentence was inevitable given his history of prior breaches. McIntyre was handed an immediate custodial term of one year (12 months) in prison.
Upon his release from custody, McIntyre will remain subject to the ongoing prohibitions of the Sexual Risk Order and will be monitored under statutory licence supervision conditions in the community.
Under UK legal reporting standards, proceedings concerning public protection orders and sexual safeguarding are reported in strict compliance with legal frameworks. Disclosing any information capable of identifying protected individuals or victims in connected proceedings is strictly prohibited under UK law.
McIntyre stood convicted of:
Two counts of breaching a Sexual Risk Order
Sentencing outcome and statutory measures:
One year’s immediate custody
Ongoing compliance with the Sexual Risk Order (SRO)
