The young man was seen dancing and singing to music before asking fellow guests to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park to take a picture of him with the Tigers.

He was then seen climbing into the “Land of the Tigers” enclosure, with frantic guests trying to divert the an Amur tiger named Altai’s attention, and telling the Tiger “No” and “Bad” when the animal began attacking him.

He was also seen using Makaton sign language in an apparent bid to interact with the animal, which is associated with people that struggle to communicate verbally.

The tragic victim has been officially identified as William Chapman, a former BBC child actor whom grieving relatives have described as a “bright, warm, and engaging” individual.

Wildlife rangers discharged warning shots from shotguns to corral the animal into a holding pen and multiple emergency medical teams rapidly attending the scene, but sadly Chapman suffered catastrophic injuries and was pronounced dead.

While park management has confirmed that Altai was unharmed and will not be euthanised, a joint probe by the geniuses at South Yorkshire Police and the City of Doncaster Council is focusing on how the security perimeter was breached and what drove Chapman to make such a fatal crossing. Expect BS and patronising drivel from them soon.

Our thoughts go out to William Chapman’s family and friends.
