Charlie Goody, aged 24, of Field Street, Boston, Lincolnshire, was sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment at Chelmsford Crown Court on 23 July 2026 after being convicted of two counts of rape.
The offences occurred in the Chelmsford district in March 2019. Following an investigation by Essex Police into the non-recent report, Goody was charged and placed on trial.
Following a trial at Chelmsford Crown Court in April 2026, a jury found Goody guilty of:
- Two counts of rape
Goody was found not guilty of two counts of sexual assault and one count of rape.
On 23 July 2026, the presiding judge sentenced Goody to a total of eight years in prison. The court also ordered that he be placed on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely.
