Kyle Page, aged 33, of Harpers Road, Northfield, Birmingham, was sentenced to five years and one month’s imprisonment on Thursday, 13 August 2026, after being convicted of multiple counts of intentional strangulation and assault.
The court heard that an investigation was initiated in July 2025 when emergency call handlers received a 999 call from a woman at a phone box in Harborne reporting that she had been physically assaulted. During the call, Page was heard approaching the booth and dragging the screaming victim away before the connection was lost.
The victim managed to escape from Page, locating a member of the public who assisted her in re-contacting the police. Investigating officers took statements detailing a sustained period of physical abuse, during which Page strangled her on multiple occasions, inflicted physical injuries, and prevented her from leaving a property.
West Midlands Police officers detained Page at his home address on Harpers Road, Northfield.
Appearing in court, Page was convicted of:
- Three counts of intentional strangulation
- Two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH)
- One count of aggravated vehicle taking
The presiding judge imposed a total custodial term of five years and one month on Page.
