Thomas Fletcher, then aged 20, of Bayswater Road, Stonehouse, Plymouth, Devon, was sentenced to seven years in prison at Plymouth Crown Court in 2021 after pleading guilty to multiple child sexual exploitation charges. The court heard that Fletcher engaged in a series of illegal acts involving a child in the Plymouth area. His offending encompassed four counts of sexual activity with a child, one count of sexual communication with a child, and one count of inciting a child to watch a sexual act.
Devon and Cornwall Police executed a full investigation into Fletcher’s conduct after the allegations were reported. Detectives assembled a comprehensive prosecution file documenting the nature of the communications and physical activity. Fletcher was remanded in custody ahead of his crown court appearance.
Appearing before Plymouth Crown Court, Fletcher entered formal guilty pleas to six charges on the indictment. Prosecutors formally accepted his pleas to these counts, confirming that additional counts would not proceed to trial based on evidentiary thresholds.
The presiding judge sentenced Fletcher to a custodial term of seven years’ imprisonment for his crimes.
