In November 2022, John Justin, then aged 52, of Wollaston Close, Gillingham, was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to three child abuse charges.

The court heard details regarding a Kent Police investigation into serious offences committed against a child victim. Prosecutors outlined how Justin subjected the child to physical attacks and later attempted to claim the allegations were false within his defence documentation.

Kent Police officers conducted digital forensic reviews of Justin’s mobile phone, identifying internet search queries indicating an illicit interest in young children. Investigators also recovered a decorative wall plaque created by Justin containing details of the offences.

Justin subsequently entered guilty pleas to charges covering physical assault on a girl under 13.

In November 2022, the presiding judge handed Justin a 12-year custodial sentence, with all case details catalogued on the UK Register Database for public record transparency.
