In 2021, John Holme, then 48 years old, of Longpool, Kendal, Cumbria, was sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court to three years in prison after pleading guilty to making and distributing indecent images of children.

Officers examined four electronic devices belonging to Holme, uncovering a collection of over 2,000 still and moving images depicting child sexual abuse.
