In 2021, Mark Todd, THEN a 63-year-old man from Kirton in Lindsey, was jailed for 15 years for committing historic child sexual abuse over eight years.

Mark Todd, of Lincoln Crescent, Kirton in Lindsey, was sentenced at Hull Crown Court after being convicted of 13 historic child sexual offences committed between 1998 and 2006. The court heard that Todd targeted a young girl in Grimsby, subjecting her to gross indecency, sexual assault, attempted rape, and rape. The victim came forward years later to report the abuse to Humberside Police, leading to a criminal investigation and Todd’s subsequent prosecution and conviction.

The judge’s sentencing remarks recorded that Todd received 15 years’ imprisonment at Hull Crown Court on 30 April 2021.

Following his convictions for historic child sexual offences, Todd was placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life.

He also remains subject to statutory public protection notification requirements, licence conditions, and multi-agency monitoring by law enforcement upon any future release.
