In 2021, a man, Lewis James Taylor, sent photographs of the sexual abuse he committed on a young child to another paedophile.
Lewis James Taylor, then 31, entered a guilty plea to the charges of intentionally touching a child under the age of 13, taking indecent images of a child, distributing indecent images of a child, and possessing extreme pornographic images at Cardiff Crown Court on Friday, July 2.
The court was informed that the minor was sexually assaulted in April of this year.
According to Matthew Cobbe, the prosecutor, the defendant, who resides in Ely, Cardiff, communicated with a “like-minded paedophile” on the messaging platform Kik, where they deliberated on the abuse he intended to perpetrate.
He informed the court, “He addresses the child’s sexual abuse.” This child was exceedingly susceptible. He was collecting and disseminating the images.
Mr Cobbe stated that the images shared with the other individual depicted the “genital area” and “a male ejaculating.”
The court was informed that the defendant subsequently exchanged messages with another chat user who enquired about the timing of his next abuse, to which the defendant responded, “Shortly.”
Police officers in London discovered some of the content being sent to one of the message service users, which subsequently led them to Taylor.
Afterwards, the South Wales Police visited Taylor’s residence, during which time he initially stated, “I have not committed any offences.” Subsequently, 12 images depicting bestiality were discovered, in addition to the messages. Additionally, a video was discovered that captured a portion of the assault.
She described the case as “particularly distressing” in her opinion. She informed the defendant, “I have serious reservations about the assertion that you are truly remorseful for your actions, as it has been made on your behalf.” It is demonstrated that you possess a strong sexual interest in very young children and pose a significant risk to children.
Taylor received a concurrent prison sentence of six years and nine months, as well as an extended licence period of four years.
The court also issued a sexual harm prevention order.
