In 2021, the Offender Register confirmed that a paedophile tradesman, Bryan Michael Grange, who sexually assaulted an eight-week-old baby and two infant girls, has been incarcerated for 30 years. However, his wife continues to visit him weekly.
A tradesman who raped an eight-week-old baby after taking Viagra has been sentenced to a minimum of 30 years in prison.
In an act that was described as “shocking and depraved in the extreme,” Sydney resident Bryan Michael Grange, 38, also sexually abused two girls under the age of five.
On Thursday, the NSW Downing District Court disclosed the specifics of the abuse that occurred between 2014 and 2018.
After Judge Kara Shead sentenced Grange to 30 years for child sexual abuse and four and a half years for possessing child abuse material, he will be incarcerated until at least 2044.
A depraved Grange sexually assaulted an eight-week-old infant while the infant’s mother and Grange’s wife were outside, only a few meters away.
His wife continues to support him, visiting him twice a week, despite the unspeakably depraved nature of his crimes.
Subsequently, he disclosed to a psychiatrist that he had consumed Viagra that morning. It was a rather chaotic period. I have no justification for it.
Grange recorded a sickening, unplanned assault in which he documented himself rubbing his penis on the baby’s mouth before ejaculating.
Grange also assaulted an infant, who was either one or two years old, in a public lavatory. He also recorded the assault, informing her that she was “getting good” at exposing herself in front of the camera.
Before the age of five, Grange repeatedly violated a third victim in her residence.
Before his arrest, Grange resided in Marayong, a suburb in the western region of Sydney. He also recorded numerous videos in which he was depicted molesting the victims.
The court heard that the abuse was a severe breach of trust for both the girls and their parents.
The depravity did not conclude there.
Additionally, Grange amassed more than 30,000 images and videos of child sexual abuse, some of which depicted children being coerced into engaging in sexual intercourse with animals.
The court was informed that Grange utilised his personal and banking information to register for a subscription website, which resulted in him spending more than $7,000 on child abuse material.
He subsequently broadly disseminated the stomach-churning images on the dark web.
Grange’s sentence was reduced by 25% as a result of his early plea and cooperation with the police.
He appeared in court via video link from the Parklea Correctional Centre, where he is currently in protective custody due to his ‘fear for his life’ after fellow inmates learned of his repulsive behaviour.
On March 29, 2044, Grange will be eligible for parole.
