In 2026, the Offender Register reported that Tibor Tompos, of Ashfield Road, Shotton, appeared at Caernarfon Crown Court for his sentencing.
He has previously acknowledged his attempts to incite a girl to engage in sexual activity, to cause a child to view images of sexual activity, to engage in sexual communication with a child, and to create indecent pseudo-photographs of a child.
Tompos initiated sexualised communication with an online child whom he perceived to be 13 years old in May 2024.
He was unaware that the profile was a fabricated one created by a paedophile hunter organisation, and as a result, he was promptly apprehended by law enforcement.
His devices were confiscated and inspected, revealing additional sexualised communication with two accounts that he believed to be 14-year-old females.
He sent them numerous explicit images and videos of himself and requested sexualised photos in exchange.
Additionally, they served as decoy accounts.
He was incarcerated for four years and was subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order that was in effect for 15 years.
