In 2022, the Offender Register reported that Maxime Owona raped a woman in her own residence.

Maxime Owona, 33, shattered a window to gain access to the victim’s Coventry address before the ordeal in April.

She courageously alerted a family member, who then contacted the West Midlands Police. However, Owona was apprehended at the property shortly thereafter.

On November 28, he was sentenced to 15 years in prison at Warwick Crown Court.

Owona, who possesses no fixed address, was convicted of two counts of rape and one count of trespassing with the intention of committing a sexual offence after a trial.

His sex offender registry has been indefinitely activated, and he has been issued a restraining order prohibiting him from any contact with the victim.

Additionally, he was granted an extended licence for five years.
