In 2026, the Offender Register reported that Lee Reszka, of Longridge, Knutsford, was convicted of rape and attempted rape on Friday, July 3, after a five-day trial.
The 35-year-old has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to return to court on Monday, August 10, for sentencing.
Reszka had visited the victim’s residence in November 2023 under the guise of seeking a mutual acquaintance, despite knowing the acquaintance was not present.
The victim permitted Reska to use the loo at the address; however, he later accosted her and attempted to rape her.
He orally raped the victim before fleeing the address, even though she was able to escape.
The incident was subsequently reported to the police after she disclosed it to her companions.
The DNA found on a piece of clothing worn by the victim was forensically tested and confirmed to be that of Reszka.
Additionally, the victim sustained injuries that were consistent with the offences.
